What the program is

What donors can provide

The Adopt-A-Family Holiday Program connects generous individuals, families, businesses and community partners with children and families who are experiencing financial hardship during the holiday season. Sponsors help provide gifts, essential items and other requested needs to help make the holidays brighter for children and families in our community.

What donors can provide

Donors can support a family by providing financial contributions, gift cards, or new, unused items such as toys, clothing, electronics, computers and other technology, games and other requested gifts. Donors may also help fulfill specific items from a family's wish list. *All donated items should be new and unused unless otherwise specified by the Foundation.

The program supports children and families who are experiencing financial hardship and may otherwise have difficulty providing gifts and other necessities during the holiday season. We focus on helping underserved children and families feel seen, valued and supported while creating a positive and memorable holiday experience.

Supporting 77 families is more than a milestone, it is a reflection of the compassion and commitment of the foundation’s sponsors, donors, volunteers and community partners.

The Everybody Loves the Kids Foundation believes that strong families help create strong communities. By offering support to families, the foundation also helps children feel cared for, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Our impact reaches beyond our local community. Families and children across 19 states have been supported through the Adopt-A-Family Holiday Program, allowing us to bring holiday assistance to communities across the country.

What began as a way to support families in need has grown into a nationwide effort, made possible through generous sponsors, donors, volunteers and community partners.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Sign Up to Sponsor

Complete the sponsor form in the button below to let us know you'd like to adopt a family this holiday season. Tell us how many families you'd like to support and how you plan to give.

2. We Match You With a Family

We're currently receiving and confirming the families taking part this year. As soon as families are confirmed, we'll contact you with your family assignment.

3. Get Your Family's Wish List

You'll receive details about your family, including the children's interests, wish lists and requested needs.

4. Choose How You'll Give

Purchase gifts from the wish list, provide gift cards, or make a financial contribution and our team will shop for you.

5. Make the Holidays Brighter

Drop off or ship your gifts to Everybody Loves The Kids Foundation by the program deadline and help make the season special for a local family.

After the unexpected loss of their mother, a grandmother stepped in to raise her two young grandsons. As she helped them navigate unimaginable grief, she also worked tirelessly to provide stability and preserve the joy of childhood during the holiday season.

Through Everybody Loves the Kids Adopt-A-Family program, the boys experienced a Christmas filled with thoughtful gifts, kindness, and hope during one of the most difficult seasons of their lives.

Rebuilding After Losing Everything in a House Fire

When a devastating house fire displaced a mother and her young son, they were forced to start over with almost nothing. Between replacing necessities and navigating financial uncertainty, celebrating Christmas seemed impossible.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, her son still experienced the excitement and joy every child deserves during the holidays while the family focused on rebuilding their future.

Their story reminds us that even small acts of kindness can bring hope during life's most difficult moments.

Three Brothers Finding Stability After Years of Hardship

After losing their mother to domestic violence, three young brothers were raised by their grandmother. Together they endured homelessness, lived in an extended-stay hotel, and rebuilt their lives after losing nearly all of their belongings.

Despite years of hardship, their grandmother remained committed to giving them hope and opportunity.

Through Everybody Loves the Kids, the family was able to experience a Christmas centered on joy instead of financial stress.

"Thank you so very much!!! My family and I really, really appreciate it."

Their resilience is a powerful reminder of why community support matters.

While preparing to welcome a new baby, a mother of two faced ongoing medical challenges that prevented her from working consistently or participating in other holiday assistance programs.

Our supporters helped ensure that all of her children, including a newborn arriving just before Christmas, were celebrated during the holiday season.

One of the family's favorite surprises was receiving brand-new bicycles that created lasting memories.

"We received the bikes. My children are so excited and happy. Thank you so much again for helping us this holiday season."

Like so many parents we serve, a single mother was working hard to provide for her children but simply couldn't stretch her budget far enough to cover Christmas.

Because of generous donors, her children experienced the excitement of waking up to gifts on Christmas morning, allowing her to focus on what mattered most, making memories with her family.
